Saturday Group Walking Club

This class is offered on a drop-in basis every Saturday for those who have completed Manners 1 (or by instructor permission). Each week we practice leash walking, attention with distractions, and other obedience skills while in a real world setting. Each class will meet in Blue Hill. Even though it is a drop in class, sign up is required!

We’ve changed the pay scale of this class to make it more accommodating (and affordable) for those who would like to attend throughout the summer, giving students the option to pay for a club rate of $75 for the entire course and attend as many as you’d like (June-October), or $25 per class for those who would like to attend occasionally.

*if you would like to sign up for the club rate of $75 instead of by each week, please send us an email at

Leash Walking Clinic

It was all fine when your dog was a tiny puppy but now they don’t seem to know their size and strength?  Neighborhood strolls are challenging because they pull so hard you almost trip? Hiking in Acadia might seem out of question since you know you’ll be yanked off the trail after a squirrel?

Know that you’re not alone. This frustration plays out for so many people when they walk their dogs. If you’re interested in helping your dog develop good leash manners that will take the stress out of daily walks and outings, we’ll share everything you need to know and implement to walk calmly on a loose leash. Along with loose-leash walking we will cover leash handling skills, focus games you can take on the road, and relaxing in public spaces. This class will run for 3 weeks and is suitable for both puppies over 4 months and older dogs. This class is offered with rolling admission so you can join us at any time throughout the summer!

*When you sign up for this class you are selecting your start date. You will then be signed up for 3 consecutive weeks of class. You do not need to select multiple dates.
Class meets for 3 weeks. Cost $99. Class is held each week on Saturday’s at 9:00am SIGN UP HERE

Intro to Rally

This dog sport requires teamwork between dog and handler as you work on performance skills similar to obedience. You’ll learn the basics of how to navigate the courses, as well as the foundation behaviors you’ll need to practice and (if you want!) compete. We’ll work on formal heeling and make our way through the signs you may see in AKC Novice. We’ll also begin putting the signs together into short courses! This class is for those new to the sport, focusing on novice/intro level skills and signs. To learn more about Rally Obedience, visit: Manners 1 & 2 are required for this class (or by instructor approval)

Hoopers Foudation:

Would you like to have fun with your dog while building fantastic focus on you through play? In this game, you and your dog must complete flowing courses of hoops and low-impact equipment, like tunnels and barrels. Instead of the focus being on the dog and the handler’s physical ability, Hoopers focuses on building connection, cooperation and teamwork between you and your dog. This is mentally-stimulating and fun for those on both ends of the leash, and is suitable for dogs of all ages. Class will run for 4 weeks and will cover all the basic skills you and your dog will need to navigate a hoopers course. Manners 1 prerequisite (or by instructor approval).
