Living With A Reactive Dog Workshop

This 90 minute workshop is for humans only! and specifically humans who find themselves living with a reactive dog: one who over reacts to other dogs, people, or other things in the environment. These dogs might bark, growl, lunge, jump, or pull when faced with these triggers on leash, in the car, or otherwise restrained. In this workshop we’ll explain to you what is going on with your dog and help you understand their behavior, explain the tools needed to change what they’re doing, and show you exercises/help you make a plan to help your dog. This workshop will be taught by Whitney Thurston CPDT-KA, a certified professional dog trainer who specializes in reactivity and has spent hundreds of hours working with reactive dogs and their owners, helping them feel more comfortable together out in the world. Registration for this workshop is required and space is limited. Cost: $75

Snuffle Mat Workshop!

Create your own dog enrichment toy! A snuffle mat is a fleece mat that allows your dog to really use their nose to seek out each piece of kibble (or other food) among the long pieces of fleece. It is an AWESOME way to get your dog using their brain and their amazing nose, especially during the cold winter when they need more indoor activities! You don’t have to be crafty, you just need to know how to tie a knot (trust me: if I can do it, you can do it). Cost for the workshop is $28 which includes the cost of all materials to make your mat. This is a workshop for humans, so leave your dogs at home while they await their new snuffle mat. Registration is required and space is limited.

Behavior Problem Solving Workshop

We’ll give you all the info on how to work with your dog on their favorite, but your not-so-favorite behaviors: barking, counter surfing, jumping up to greet, destruction, and (by request) poop eating! yay! The seminar is JUST for people, so you’ll leave your pups at home so that you can focus on learning some new stuff to take home. This will run for about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, depending on questions. Cost is $50 and includes handouts! Space is limited to 10 owners.
